Who are We

The Tanzania Association of Women Certified Accountants

The Tanzania Association of Women Certified Accountants (TAWCA) was established in the year 2015 by 18 Tanzanian women certified accountants. TAWCA has been registered by the Registrar of Societies at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tanzania under the Societies Act [CAP. 337 R.E. 2002] and was awarded a Certificate of Registration number S.A. 20210. The establishment of TAWCA is an initiative of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA). The Association has demonstrated tremendous growth since its establishment, whereby over 850 women accountants registered as of July 2022.
